  1. Some of you may have noticed that the site has had a bit of an update to refresh and also to introduce new Toyota models entering the market. Keep visiting and posting and keep an eye out for some more site enhancements occurring over the next few months.
  2. Hi Lisa It seems a logical idea to swap out the rear seats, assuming that the replacement one will fit. It is certainly a good route to go down and one that I would embrace to accommodate another passenger rather than change the vehicle. However, I think the best route to go would be to visit a breakers yard that has a Echo or even a Yaris hatchback and see if you can match the seats...if so, problem solved and also a cheap mod to carry out. Let us know how you get on with it
  3. Sometimes these add ons are to boost sales at the end of a quarter by loading it with specific options and sometimes even giving it a funky name to draw the buyers in.....works for me!
  4. Hi Harrison....welcome to the Forum Feel free to post up some pics of your Tacoma Good to have you onboard Cheers, Trevor
  5. Hi Lyn...welcome to the Club I would advise to pop into a Toyota dealership and ask them to show you the connection procedure (if there is one), admittedly there should be an immediate connection when plugging into the car but I think it may just be a setting that is not correct and needs changing. Let us know what you find out
  6. Toyota Launches “This Is Our Sport” 2020 GR Supra Campaign PLANO, Texas (July 15, 2019) – Performance, capability and style are on full display with today’s launch of the all-new 2020 Toyota GR Supra campaign, “This Is Our Sport.” In a nod to Toyota’s sports car heritage, the campaign reflects the excitement Supra drivers will feel in an iconic car designed with them in mind—a car that pushes the limits. “The return of the Toyota Supra has been a long time coming, and it’s well worth the wait,” said Ed Laukes, group vice president, Toyota Marketing, Toyota Motor North America. “The new campaign highlights the thrill of getting to know the 2020 GR Supra and a rediscovered appreciation for the simple joy of driving.” Broadcast & Digital The 30-second, 15-second and 6-second broadcast and digital spots were directed by Ozan Biron. These unique spots highlight the Supra’s exhilarating blend of power, precision and agility and inspire drivers to own the sports car they always dreamed about. In “Track Day”, Julie Andrews’ “Getting to Know You” provides the soundtrack as driver and car glide harmoniously around the iconic Road Atlanta track, showcasing the Supra’s undisputable performance and style as they get to know each other. The :30-second spot “Track Day,” from Toyota’s latest campaign “This Is Our Sport,” features the all-new 2020 GR Supra. The 6-second spots, appropriately titled “0 to 60”, “Balanced”, “Face Off”, “Joy”, “Ribbon”, “Sport Mode”, and “Walks On Water”, demonstrate the spirit of a new sports car: sleek, stylish, powerful and ready to command any road. The :06-second spot “Joy,” from Toyota’s new campaign “This Is Our Sport,” highlights the stunning design of the all-new 2020 GR Supra. The :06-second spot “Face Off,” from Toyota’s latest campaign “This Is Our Sport,” shows off the performance of the all-new 2020 GR Supra. The campaign creative was led by Saatchi & Saatchi with Zenith Media responsible for TV and Outdoor media buying. The return of the 2020 GR Supra was announced with a TV spot in February’s “Big Game.” The high-energy spot, “Wizard”, set the stage for the return of Toyota’s iconic sports car after a 21-year hiatus. Media Placements “Track Day”, the 30-second spot from the new campaign, will air across motorsports TV programming; a custom long-form video called “Game Of Horsepower” will feature a unique twist on the classic game of H.O.R.S.E. and will appear on Reddit, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter; additional custom brand integrations include GQ, Twitter’s @Marvel LIVE, as well as exclusive auto partner of Sports Illustrated’s Fashionable 50 event. Print media includes a custom French door cover where Motor Trend and Road & Track subscribers will receive an exclusive pull-out poster tapping into the nostalgia of ’90s car posters. The Road & Track partnership also features a custom augmented reality (AR) integration, which will allow users to virtually see the Supra in their driveway or garage. Digital partners include Google, Amazon, CBS, IGN and Fast Company with Amobee for programmatic. Social partners include Twitter, Reddit, Facebook and Instagram while audio extensions include Tune In and Gimlet. Out-of-home (OOH) will include high-impact billboards in 17 markets. Additionally, spots will air on national and digital radio as well as within select movie titles in theaters nationwide in conjunction with National CineMedia. The spots are available for viewing here. For images and credits, please click here. 7. Hi Marlon Thanks for letting us know the conclusion. Rather annoying that it just failed while you weren't using the car, almost a red herring to think that it was related to being laid up and not just a unit failure. Glad its resolved for you now and hopefully not too expensive. Cheers, Trevor
  8. Thanks for the YouTube links Regina...very useful as I am also thinking of wrapping some interior trim panels and wouldn't have known how to go about it
  9. Good idea Valdy Dreimanis....hadn't thought of that one, plenty of different finishes as well
  10. Hi Regina...welcome to the Forum I would be tempted to either buy some used parts in better condition or as you say, respray them with plasticote, but not sure you will get an exact colour match.
  11. Hi I think I would consult Drivetime as to their warranty policy and who is allowed to carry out this work without invalidating the cover
  12. Hi Mark...welcome to the Forum It certainly looks in great condition for the year and the mileage....I think you got a good deal there! Probably worth checking the EVAP system for the fuel tank breather side of things if the tank is gassing then it may be blocked. Good to have you onboard Cheers . Trevor
  13. Lisa Durgin . How's life with the Camry? Is it as you expected and how does it compare to the Ford?
  14. Don Shore . Hows the restoration coming along Would love to see some more photos of it as its progressing Cheers, Trevor
  15. Hi Jeff Teague ...welcome to the club Good to have you onboard! Feel free to post up any Toyota videos on here and they will also go into the video section on the forum. Cheers, Trevor
  16. Hi Jan Didawick ....welcome to you, and Graycee Good to have you onboard, and have to say....great to see an older Toyota still looking good and going strong! Cheers, Trevor
  17. Hi Mixalis Tsar and welcome to the club. good to have you onboard
  18. Hi Debbie133...welcome to the Forums I would probably entrust the installation to an authorised installer as the system would need to be wired correctly to work with the CanBus system. If it is wired incorrectly for the vehicle then it can interfere with the onboard electronics with disastrous effect.
  19. can only think that the radar is contaminated with dirt or dust which may be inhibiting the readings or alternatively, there could be some Radio frequency interference affecting it (if it occurs on the same stretch of road each time?)
  20. I assume if the base plate fittings are the same dimension then they should fit
  21. Sounds like the Coolant Temperature Sensor/ThermoSwitch is faulty or the wiring leading to one of the fans. I would bridge the connectors on the plug going into the sensor and if the fans run with the ignition on then it has to be the sensor at fault
  22. it sounds very similar to the issue I have with my 2007 Honda CRV which has the opposite problem. To make calls, I have to dial the number on the phone, hang up and then press the phone button on the wheel and announce 'redial' for it to then go through the cars' audio system. When an incoming call comes in then I can answer that straightaway through the cars' controls. The reason is that the call has to come through the cars' audio system and I think in your case it is not when you receive a call. You may be able to alter the settings but I don't think that will work. Maybe the only way is to hang up and dial the number so you end up making the call....a complete pain but 2007 was at the start of voice control and phone connectivity and as such the technology is quite primitive by today's standards. Let us know if you do find an alternative method to get it working sensibly.
  23. Can you upload the image so we can see which components you are referring to, thanks
  24. Hi blakehanna welcome to the Club Glad you're enjoying your Camry and feel free to ask any questions on here. Good to have you onboard
