  1. many thanks for posting the guide....very useful indeed !
  2. I would think it would be a faulty alternator. Try disconnecting various fuses (starting with the larger capacity fuses) and see if the battery is then discharging May take some time to work through them all but when you find the one that is running a circuit drawing high current
  3. not sure it would with the many differences in the drivetrain setup. Hopefully someone who may have carried out this mod can answer more specifically
  4. Hi....welcome to the Forum There are companies out there that sell rubbers suitable for window channel, etc and usually sell it by the metre. This is the case for classic cars but not sure who to contact for specific vehicles so you may need to google it to find one
  5. That would be to grab your attention by highlighting the fact that Reverse gear has been selected. Wouldn't want to inadvertently select that when moving forwards 😞
  6. There are a range of bolt on electrically driven forced induction systems out there but lots of money usually. Another way would be to remap the ECU for minimal gains but a lot cheaper
  7. Hi...welcome to the Forum The 4Runner is a great vehicle, enjoy! Good to have you onboard
  8. Ouch! thats unfortunate! I would let a reputable Smart Repairer deal at very little cost. A dealership would either farm it out to a Smart Repairer or Bodyshop who would remove the bumper to fully spray it, which would cost a small fortune
  9. Hi Marino An extremely rare model indeed! Here is a Wiki link to the different generations of Celica and it mentions the GTS but not so much the GTS with TRD spec and especially the Panasonic strip, so even rarer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Celica Not sure of how many would be around nowadays but it would be worth getting a bid value on eBay to see how much interest and money people have in it. Post up some pics as would love to see the car
  10. Hi Tina....welcome to the forum I would imagine the battery took a pounding in the cold climate which can cause numerous electrical issues until running at a full charge rate. It may be worth simulating the same conditions but with a battery charger plugged in to see if this makes any difference. Let us know how you get on with it
  11. Thomcat316 . Thanks for the glass replacement guide. It will be invaluable to anyone else that need to carry out this task.
  12. Hi Mikalle ....welcome to the Club Long time Toyota enthusiast then 🙂 Good to have you onboard
  13. HI Dwayne.....welcome to the Club Looks absolutely mint, inside and out! Good to have you onboard
  14. That's an awkward one to trace by the sound of it, I have always found that fuel tends to track across other surfaces and then evaporate without leaving much of a clue where it has come from so can be difficult to track the original source. Maybe worth checking the return fuel flow to ensure the pressure is not too high
  15. I would comment but unfortunately there is no link there There are many checks to carry out before buying a secondhand car Check this link for basic checks that apply to most cars https://autoevoke.com/index.php?/news/forums/buying-a-used-car-r32/
  16. Sounds like it could be a drivebelt which is dry and when it heats up then it changes. Could also be a tensioner bearing. Best way is to trickle some water onto the belt and see if the noise disappears. If so, then change the belt.
  17. I see your predicament....not sure of the best way forward really
  18. You could try to run for a longer period and if the lights don't return then the fault is resolved. Keep us updated on this . Cheers
  19. Hi Oldude .....welcome to the Forum As far as I know the AWD Venza is quite sturdy and reliable and not any issues i am aware of Good to have you onboard
  20. Hopefully someone will have the answers and get back to you soon. A stainless system will not necessarily be louder but due to the wall thickness of the metal tubing being thinner it will produce a nice raspy sound which is very nice to live with.
  21. Hi Wrench....welcome to the Forum Got any questions then just fire away, we'll do our best to answer them
  22. Have you tried pressing the unlock button twice in quick succession as this should unlock all the doors.
  23. Hi jc...sorry no-one got around to answering you previous post. Well, at least you managed to find a easier way of accessing the hose clamps. Now, as you say, you can get into the timing chain...good luck with it and let us know how you get on with it
  24. Hi Toots and welcome to the Forums Maybe an aftermarket accessory type compass would be the way forward as anything that interfaces with the cars' onboard electronic system would invalidate the warranty. CD players are now listed as 'Retro' which is unbelievable as they are still selling CDs in stores which I find unbelievable. Good to have you onboard
  25. What is they battery voltage at rest and does it need replacing as this could be one of the symptoms
