  1. Hi....welcome to the Club The increase in engine speed and sound levels would be because of it being a Hybrid and these tend to be a lot noisier than traditional internal combustion engines Otherwise it is a generally superb car all round, maybe just takes a bit of getting used to Good to have you onboard
  2. Hi....welcome to the Club You could visit an audio shop who could upgrade the speakers for a start and see how it goes from there
  3. There are specialists out there who can transplant modern audio innards into an old radio set. Maybe a Google search may bring some results?
  4. Hi....welcome to the Club Yes, that is quite normal for an Atkinson engine. The Lexus RX450 has the same engine and also sounds the same
  5. Hi Michael....welcome to the Club a '91 Corolla, quite a rare car now, is it in good condition?
  6. Sounds like a worn driveshaft constant velocity joint causing this noise.
  7. Have come across this with some other vehicle makes and they offer a 'premium' seat package, so not sure if any package available for the Camry and if so, could you source some to fit in your car
  8. Fine looking Celica....worth the money by the look of the condition and provenance of the car. However, if the seller has reduced the money over time then he would probably take a lesser offer for it
  9. That is an horrendous noise and more than likely caused by the window regulator and guides expanding with the heat and contracting when colder. If it was me, I would remove the door card and make a very slight adjustment to the regulator and window guides/channels which the glass slides up. Probably only need to loosen the screws, shake the glass slightly for it to finds its own settled position, tighten the bolts and see if that improves it. While you there, ensure there is no grit trapped in any of the mechanism or guides
  10. Nice to see the Toyota grill going to a Lexus style
  11. Its usually recalled by chassis number (VIN) so worth contacting your dealer to confirm whether it is subject to a recall
  12. Vehicle production is now being compromised by a world shortage of silicon chip supply so you're one of the lucky ones if you have a guaranteed delivery for a new car 🙂
  13. Hi....welcome to the Club Master Tech! what brand of vehicle do you work on? More than welcome to jump in with answering any questions and impart your specialist knowledge to fellow members. Enjoy your Yaris, looks superb !
  14. wow! that's close. I suppose you could get an overall rolling diameter of a new tire by going into a tire shop and asking them if they could measure one up and add that dimension to your existing setup
  15. Hi....welcome to the Club If there are mettalic particles in the oil then this not good news at all. However, are the shavings from the oil pan where the plug fits in, e.g. has it stripped the threads?
  16. Hi....welcome to the Club Unfortunately, new vehicle delivery does take time but that doesn't seem that long as some new build orders are taking 6 months onwards from Toyota to European buyers
  17. it certainly has a Variable Valve mechanism but not sure of designated engine code
  18. Sounds like it is incorrectly wired to the high beam bulbs....you wouldn't be able to switch the standard LED bulbs so you would need two bulbs to make this work
  19. Thanks for the update. hopefully that will permanently resolve the issue
  20. eBay would have to be my first port of call for sourcing aftermarket accessories
  21. I have found this with some car windscreens where the rake is such that it has quite a large difference in distance from the top to the bottom when viewed and affects the eyes which can make you feel ill. Also, found it with Hybrid vehicles where the acceleration is linear and does not have any slip on take off which leaves the stomach behind when accelerating from stationary
  22. You may be able to get an auxiliary plug switch or splitter on eBay that will do the job
  23. There is something in the settings (end of the stalk or on the wheel I believe) but i believe it will reset to an 'on' default every time you switch the ignition back on
