  1. I can't believe this truck is still for sale...it's such a good-looking Tacoma!
  2. You should ask around $11k. They're going through the auctions with similar miles and trim for around $7k for cars in good condition, about $4k for cars not so good.
  3. It can be done, but you'll need to check with the US Customs department. Some vehicles are not admissable at all, and some need major equipment additions (often expensive) to bring the car in. You could bring it in just for parts, but you may have a problem getting it registered. Check the allowed car list on the US Customs site.
  4. Mmm...LS430. Nice!! I'll try to give you an estimate on asking price, but I need more info: What's "fully loaded"? Does it have navigation? The alarm you mentioned doesn't really add much value, but things like leather, moonroof, chrome wheels, navigation, JBL...those add value. Color interior/exterior? Any accidents/paint work? Scratches, chips, dings, dents, interior wear? Has it been smoked in?
  5. It's not like the cost of the warranty repair comes out of the dealership's pocket, so the only time the dealership will argue if it's blatantly obvious that you haven't changed your oil or done any other form of maintenance...ie, if your oil gums up at 30k, they can tell if you've never done an oil change, or if it's relatively fresh oil, or if your brakes wear out every 10k, they can tell that you've been riding the brakes or if there's a real problem. Some of these things are so obvious. That 30k being a little late is a non-issue.
  6. Is it just the SD card? Can you get the same card at Best Buy/Circuit City/Office Max/etc.? It should be cheap, and then you'd be done and over the whole issue. Yes, I understand it should be covered under warranty, but SD cards aren't expensive and if it really bothers you, that would solve your issue quickly. You could even call Toyota corporate and try to get reimbursed later. Or you could wait a couple more days on the Toyota parts department. A typical parts order is 2 days, but things do occasionally get back-ordered. It's not a mechanically incapacitating part, so I'd just wait if it were me. Tomtom and Toyota are both quality brands, but they do include electronic parts, which are not always perfect, even the highest quality ones. If Toyota knew there was an issue, there would be a TSB issued, and the dealer would perform the TSB on all in-stock vehicles. Most likely, you have a fairly unique problem. I think if you'll be a little patient, you'll see that you've purchased a great vehicle.
  7. MODE: Turn on bluetooth DEVICES: new partnership COM PORT: ignore this What firmware version do you have?
  8. Let's talk isn't always perfectly up to date. Most Treos will work, they're just not the most compatible. Did you try shutting off your phone completely and back on yet?
  9. Incidentally, Treos are the worst for that bluetooth connection because of the operating system. Periodically, you may have to erase the connection from both the car and the phone, and start over. And make sure you do your software updates (which may also cause you to re-do the connection). And turn your phone off once in awhile. I'm kind of shocked your salesperson didn't teach you this stuff.
  10. (Your phone must have the most recent version of software provided by your carrier) (Cingular-1.17 or higher, Verizon 1.04 or higher, Sprint- 1.13 or higher) Vehicle Procedure Go to “Telephone Screen” Press “Settings” Press the “Bluetooth” button Press the “Register” button [*]Phone Procedure Go to Bluetooth on main screen Select “Setup Devices” Select “Handsfree” setup Select “Next” Phone searches and will come up with “Handsfree” Select “Handsfree” Press “OK” Enter passkey (displayed on navigation screen) Connection successful (may take 30 – 90 seconds) NOTE: if phone does not connect within 1 ½ minutes, make a phone call from the phone. If it still won’t connect, turn the car off and back on. You will need to make “Handsfree” a trusted device, proceed with the following: Go to “Setup Devices” Select “Trusted Devices” Select “Handsfree” and press ok, then select done Connection is complete [*]To transfer the phonebook from your phone to the vehicle, you will need to do the following:(All numbers may not transfer) Vehicle Procedure Go to telephone screen Select “Settings” Press the “Phonebook” button Select the “Transfer Data” button Phone procedure (maximum of 10 characters, i.e. no parenthesis in phone number) a. 11. It doesn't quite work like that. If she's a little late on her 30k, no big deal. She should still do it, because if something goes wrong with the car, one of the first things Toyota will look at is the service history. If the car hasn't been maintained, then yes, she could risk not having coverage. However, it would need to be much more extreme than just a month or two late on the 30k...for example, someone who never changed the oil in their car, and the engine seized up...that sort of thing would probably not be covered. She needs to stop freaking out and find either a different service advisor at the same dealership, or another Toyota dealership that's less high pressure. It's not nearly as big of a deal as she thinks. The weekend discount is probably because the dealership is a little slow on the weekends, so they're trying to generate more traffic for the weekend. If she can take advantage of that, she should.
  12. How many miles are on your car?
  13. Sound quality's not so great...got an aftermarket bluetooth in the Porsche. The factory one is MUCH better. Have you considered checking eBay/junkyards, etc. for a used replacement OEM unit? Or maybe these guys: http://www.oemvalue.com/request/toyotanav.htm I haven't purchased anything from them, but it looks like they have the real thing...and they've been around awhile, which is always a good sign.
  14. I had something similar when a wiring harness got wet in the car wash...when it dried, it was fine. Is your issue all the time, or just immediately after getting wet?
  15. Nice! I think there used to be a 100k + club on Toyota.com....you might want to take a look. They are awesome cars, aren't they?
  16. Congratulations on your new Camry...gorgeous car! Welcome to TOC USA!!
  17. Nice!! Probably not the perfect solution, but hey...it's practically free!!
  18. Probably, but could be a big hassle....
  19. That all depends on how well you take care of it...maintenance is everything on a Toyota. Just take care of it, and it should run well for years.
  20. Leighcm

    2009 Matrix

Looks good. I like the wheels too.
  21. hmmm...interesting. Let us know how this turns out.
  22. Hmmm...good idea. It could easily be the alternator if it does it whenever it stops.
  23. Fuel pump okay? I would've suggested the fuel filter, but you've already tried that (it didn't fix it, did it?).
