  1. Shouldn't be a problem...those things run forever if they're properly maintained. You definitely got your money's worth!!
  2. Have you seen this site: http://toyota.letstalk.com/product/findPro...p;model=Avalon+
  3. Ouch! Sorry to hear that...hope everyone was okay.
  4. It will absolutely run just fine without a catalytic converter...you may even get better fuel economy. The downside is that you will NOT pass a smog check, you'll smell more emissions, and you'll probably get a check engine light.
  5. Have the Toyota dealership do a vehicle inquiry report and see if it had keyless entry on originally. It'll be cheaper if it did. Buy a Toyota remote if possible.
  6. I think the belt is due at 90k on your car; brakes are due whenever they wear out, and it's a good idea to resurface the rotors when you replace pads. Did someone tell you the brakes were worn out?
  7. Hmm...not many, less even than Supras. Nice little car though.
  8. yeah...if we only had them to post.
  9. Welcome! You've put a lot of kms on those cars in a short time...especially that GS300. Do you commute long distances to work?
  10. I've seen them for most of the newer Toyota/Lexus products. I did a quick search, and here's the first one I found that looked right: http://www.amazon.com/Toyota-Factory-Radio...y/dp/B000I6LIF2
  11. I don't think it was standard, but I don't remember ever seeing a Limited without it.
  12. The easiest way to get a disc is to call your Toyota dealer's parts department. They probably have the new disc in stock. Toyota issues a new disc just about every year. It'll be a couple hundred bucks. You can probably find them on eBay, etc., but I'd be a little wary of a non-OEM disc. I'm not sure where you install the disc in your model, but some typical places in other models are behind the nav screen, in the glovebox, or a module in the trunk. If you can figure out where the module is, it's an easy install, maybe all of 5 minutes: turn on the car, take out the old disc, put in the new disc, wait until the screen says it's done loading. Simple. If you're nervous about messing around with the software, have the Toyota guys do it. You'll probably get charged an hour labor though.
  13. It's pretty straightforward...change the oil and rotate tires regularly, do your tune-up/timing belt every 90k or so. You can view the maintenance schedule for your cars here: http://smg.toyotapartsandservice.com/index.php
  14. Okay, how many Toyotas do you have?
  15. I don't remember a grill being there...however, I've seen some gorgeous aftermarket billet and black colored grills for those. Do some googling for that piece because they're very functional, and really good looking.
  16. Considering it's a completely different car, I don't think it'll work without major modifications.
  17. It is true. The Southeast Toyota division is the only independent distributorship in the mainland US, and prices and options sent to their dealers are different from the rest of the country. Also, Edmunds and KBB will not show the TDA, which is the advertising fees that are charged to each invoice. They will mention it in the really fine print at the bottom, but they don't tell you how much. You have to realize that Edmunds and KBB are not 100% accurate, and frequently miss things. You might want to settle for something more readily available. A special order from Japan will take a minimum of 90-120 days.
  18. That sounds like a deal. If you put them on and they don't help with the vibration, you might want to look for a higher quality set. Sometimes they're made of cheap metal. If it works...$10 is perfect!!
  19. I have no idea where to get them...but I had a set custom made once. I just found a local machine shop, and they made a beautiful set out of aluminum. Just tell the guys at the shop what you want made, and they should have no trouble. I don't remember the cost being much at all.
