Thanks for the info. Now, is the upgrade you're talking about a map update or software upgrade. I currently purchased and installed (inserted the DVD) of version 7.1 map update Gen 2/3. Thanks, El Coco

Newbie here... Just bought a 2006 Avalon with 700 miles. The nav system is a pain to work with. While scrolling to enter destination, suddenly it selects enter without even selecting a letter. The POI is very limited. For example nearby there's a Staples, Home Depot, Lowes, Walmart, etc and it's not even registered. Is there a way to upgrade the software? The interface is also flaky. Is there anyone else having these same issues? Thanks
