Is there anything blocking the seats from moving, e.g. something has dropped into the runners and stopping the seats from moving? I find it hard to believe that cables could have snapped unless you are constantly moving the seats backwards and forwards
-
Does it compromise your safety if you remove them completely....e.g. would you head be supported by the seat back or does your head rise above the backrest? Alternatively, would the rear seats headrest be smaller and can you swap them to the front seats?

Hi Bernard....welcome to the Club You can add vehicle information into your Signature at the bottom of the posts. Seems to be the done thing now to try to extract more MPG from your vehicles nowadays....even something simple like tire pressures and reducing the weight being carried in the trunk all help to improve economy

I think you may be able to change the route settings to select Fastest, Scenic, Highway, etc.

Sorry to hear that, but would try to fit a new radiator and run the engine to see if it is still running strong. If so, then have a look at the other issues one at a time so as not to lose too much money if you find any other problems

You're welcome! -
The octane content does not change with Ethanol being added to the mix. 10% is okay to use on your vehicle but if in doubt then use premium fuel which contains less Ethanol (5% i believe)

Thanks for the feedback and useful information which could be of use to any other members who are faced with this same dilemma

I would search by engine code (should be on the VIN plate) and go on eBay for matches

How did you get on with this issue? Did you get the right color and did it fit easily?

1972 Corona Mark II MX22 looking for 2M engine parts
Toyota Owners Club replied to 1972MX22's topic in Classic Toyota
The thermostat housing looks quite common to most other older engines you may find something in a very similar size form Chevy or Ford at first glance. The water pump may work like the union next to the corroded one by chopping off the outlet pip and threading the body to accept a steel pipe to connect to. Its worth a try before binning of the assembly if the rest of it is in good condition -
Try this video for info

Also check the rear light gaskets as these could be leaking water into the trunk If you remove the light units you can see if water has been running through the seal. Refit with some silicon and see how that goes

Hi....welcome to the Club Superb looking Camry, looks great with the window tints as well Good to have you onboard! -
Most cars will perform better on highway as running at a constant speed. Around town the figure will most definitely drop but enhance slightly by the hybrid assist if enough regeneration occurs on stopping and on overrun Those figures don't seem too unreasonable at all

Hi Dan...welcome to the Club The GPS should be activated from new and updated with maps over the years. If there is an issue with it then it may be worth speaking to your dealer to see if there is a firmware update required -
How to reset air bag light 1996 toyota camry
Toyota Owners Club replied to Kellyboy1's topic in Classic Toyota
Your airbag system should recognize that all components are within the required operating ranges. If there is an issue with any component then the light will stay illuminated. Once the issue is resolved then the light will go out when it self checks -
Anyone have any ideas ?

Very odd!! It looks like that is the undershield in place of the bonnet.....maybe the bonnet was damaged/stolen and the undershield was fitted to offer some cover for the engine? -
Motor mounts in my U.S.-built 2007 Camry SE 4-cyl 2.4L 2AZ-FE.
Toyota Owners Club replied to gfr92y's topic in Camry Club
Hi I would take it that the mount (listed below) is the front mount (as listed in the description) It would also be the one that takes most punishment on acceleration and deceleration due to the engine torque being applied onto this mount. -
Could be the external amplifier playing up?

Hi Maria....sorry to hear of the demise of your 4runner. Its always difficult to find one that compares to the one you owned and kept in great condition. Good luck with your search and let us know how you get on with your search
