  1. Some of the Toyotas and even the older Lexus have a manual toggle switch just for on/off, so, yeah, it's probably fine.
  2. I'm not looking for a car, but I thought it would be nice to have a pic posted for the board.
  3. That's why I've got the GS...drive that everyday, it's comfortable, quiet, and I don't put miles on the toy car, or let it sit out in the sun/rain/dust all day.
  4. Yes, you really can't drive show cars on a regular basis...the elements alone will detract from the appearance. And some of the modifications, while attractive, can actually hinder driving on anything but perfectly smooth, clean, dry roads. I've always been a fan of the stock look, with a not-so-stock drivetrain/suspension/etc. It's not so blatant when the police are looking for the car that just blew by them!!
  5. No...there's no way to do it. Even if you managed to reprogram the keys, the metal part of the lost key would still work in the car's door. If you think your key may have been stolen, have you considered filing a police report and keeping the vehicle garaged? You must have some specific person in mind?

  7. Try these guys: http://www.weathertech.com/ Not OEM, but pretty decent. OEM has to come from the dealer.
  8. Sounds like a great little car. I thought that was a beautiful style...it's too bad Toyota only made it for such a short time. I meant aftermarket...but what are you trying to achieve with the ride?
  9. What kind of carburetor? Is some sort of performance one? Who tuned it up? Was it done professionally?
  10. You could replace the shocks or even the tires. I don't think that car will ever have a really good smooth ride though...it's meant to be a light, sporty car. Cute car though...what color?
  11. Nice...looks like fun (at least for the guy in front!! :P )

    HELLO

You should be thrilled...that's a great price for a car that really looks to be in good condition. Enjoy!
  13. Sweet! I'd post some, but most of my car meets aren't Toyota...I used to go to a lot of Supra meets, but I don't have a Supra anymore, darn it.
  14. Probably. I'd still rather have a TC than a Civic. Wait...I'd rather have ANYTHING than a Civic.

    HELLO

They still do...I had a Camry a few years ago that I bought with 145k on the odo, drove for 3 years without any real issues, and sold at 175k for a little more than I paid for it. I'm sure the guy that bought it is probably still driving it.

    HELLO

Nice looking car...it seems to be in great shape. You got an awesome deal!!
  17. Is it the check engine light, or is that little "alert" light? Either way, you should probably take it in. If the VSC light is on and won't turn off, you've probably got a problem with the VSC system somewhere (ABS, traction control, brake assist, etc.). I'm guessing it's not an emergency, as you probably won't have any issues with the way the car runs, but you may not have the traction control available.
  18. Ever had a tune-up? At least in the recent past? Plugs, filters, wires, etc.? What kind of mileage are you getting? Those old cars aren't exactly the most efficient vehicles...
  19. These guys seem to have it: http://www.classiccarpartsgiant.com/
  20. Do you have any power to the radio? If so, you probably have a radio with a security code. Check through your manuals, and see if you can find something with a code written on it (usually a 4 digit code). You may also be able to get a Toyota dealer to reset it for you, with proof of ownership of the car.

I think it's also in the trunk...you probably have an FM diversity antenna in the rear glass on that car, right?
