  1. Looked all over the place, but couldn't find a free download for that year. You could get the TIS download with a subscription. Are you looking for manual just to have a manual, or do you need something specific?
  2. Scion's not bad...I think the TC is kind of a cool little car.
  3. I think it's a cool look though...much more of what it should've been the first time around. Closer to the Subaru WRX wagon...sporty, agressive, etc.
  4. Could take out the cats... won't pass smog, but you can always put them back on.
  5. I think it was the first one...it's been a month, though... I like that silver/black one. The ground effects look awesome!
  6. Yeah, pretty quiet...invite all your friends.
  7. I'm assuming that's yours? Nice grille.
  8. Thanks for the post...it's much more agressive now, isn't it? I really like the new design.
  9. That wasn't it...but that's pretty cool.
  10. It's going to be tough getting Toyota to cover it...it's 4 years old, and at that age, some things start to wear out. You could need an alignment, you could have unevenly worn tires, you could have mismatched tires, you could have a suspension problem, you could have a slightly bent rim, you could have a car that's been in an accident...etc., etc. I'm not saying you have any of those issues, I'm just saying that those are all potential problems that might have to be proven to be NOT the issue before it would be covered. Is it an extreme left pull, or something subtle? That being said, if there is a TSB, you've got a chance for at least a little help. TSBs usually only cover the car when it's under warranty, but there's a slight chance of free parts from Toyota corporate outside of the warranty period. How many miles are on the car? What is the in-service date? If it's less than 36,000 miles and has an in-service date later than November of 2005, you're still under warranty. Can you prove a good service history done at a Toyota dealer? Toyota is much more likely to pay for repairs outside of warranty if you can prove you've properly maintained the car at a Toyota dealership.
  11. Depends on if you want it installed or not...Best Buy & Circuit City are good if you want installation too; Crutchfield.com is good if you want decent variety and don't mind getting installation elsewhere (or you could try doing it yourself!!)
  12. It's an excellent warranty, and this is the time to buy it. You can only extend Certification coverage at time of purchase of your vehicle, otherwise you're not eligible. And $960 is a good price. They're probably making about $100...let them make at least that because there's lots of behind the scenes paperwork they have to deal with. And to put it in perspective, if you tried to purchase similar coverage for something like a Mercedes or BMW, that same warranty would probably cost you about $4,000. That says a lot about Toyota's confidence in their product. Here's a link to facts about Certification service agreements: http://www.toyotafinancial.com/consumer/tf...VProtectionPlan All Toyotas are great cars...much higher quality ratings than even your BMW. Basically, if you think your BMW has been good, you'll really love your Highlander. And the Chevy will just be a distant memory! Congrats on your new car!!
  13. Wow...scary stuff, there. I haven't heard of any problems like that. Let us know what the Toyota rep says.
  14. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!
  15. So when do you get the car?
  16. How many miles are on your car? Is your major maintenance current?
  17. Yes, shouldn't be a problem using the old bulbs with the new assembly.
  18. Okay, I'm with you now. I had absolutely no idea what you were talking about when you threw in the "cute". I think you have plastic headlamp covers now, and I imagine they are probably a bit foggy because of the car's age. You could either polish them up, or replace them with an aftermarket, and improve the overall appearance.
  19. Hmmm...not sure if there was a recall or not, but in a 2004, it's probably due for an alignment.
  20. Diamond cute headlights?
  21. I disagree. I'm a big fan of forced induction, preferably a turbo. Check this out: http://www.streamlinemotorsports.com/videos/lambovssupra.wmv Viper: approx 505 cubic inches Vette: approx 350 cubic inches Murci: approx 378 cubic inches Supra: approx 183 cubic inches
  22. It's definitely not a 4.0. Probably a 2.2 if it's a 4 cylinder. A 4.0 in the Toyota line is usually a V8.
  23. Why don't you see if you notice a difference with the front one first? Rear strut bars can be a comparative pain to install...and I've never seen one for the older Camry's...
  24. VERY easy to install...and it won't make much difference to save a couple pounds. Check to make sure the cheaper one isn't just a complete piece of junk, but it otherwise shouldn't make much difference. I noticed a difference when I put one on both of my Supras, but I don't know how much difference you'll notice on yours until you start changing out suspension pieces, etc.
