  1. You'd probably get a CEL because the O2 sensors would be getting bad readings. Also, you'd be harming the environment because a catalytic converter provides an environment for a chemical reaction wherein toxic combustion by-products are converted to less-toxic substances. Can't think of anything else at the moment.
  2. Undo the negative battery terminal for a few minutes and put it back on, it should do the trick.
  3. Have you tried asking other dealers in your area? You should ask them via email through the Edmunds site and see what sort of responses you get.
  4. The Avensis has no cousin on this side of the pond. It looks nothing like the Scion Tc. The Avensis is built in Derbyshire, United Kingdom strictly for the Euro market AFAIK. As stated in Wikipedia (take with a grain of salt) that it was the "basis" for the Scion Tc
  5. Your steering rack bushings may be shot.

Do you have the 3ZZ or 1ZZ engine? The link below shows kits for the 1ZZ, not sure if it will fit. http://www.importperformanceparts.net/impo...pec_toyota.html http://www.streetlevelperformance.com/Toyo...urbo%20Kit.aspx You can do a search using google.com and you will get many results, good luck!
  7. First you would need to find out what is setting off that light, secondly what year Taco do you have? In the 1st gen Tacos (95.5-04) you could just yank the neg. battery terminal for a couple minutes and the CEL will reset, but will come back on if you still have the problem(s) that is setting off the CEL.
  8. This is just purely a guess, but 2 keys with remotes and 1 valet key.
  9. Yes, check the bulbs. It would not be too out of the ordinary if both bulbs went out at the same time, I've heard that happening on other vehicles.
  10. The speedometer cable may have just come loose, have a mechanic take a look at it.
  11. Not sure if there are too many Tundra owners here, but you may want to check out tundrasolutions.com for more info on what you're looking for.
  12. You can also try various online parts dealers such as trdparts4u.com, carsontoyota.com or partznet.com.
  13. Why not go back to BB and have them fix what's wrong? Maybe they crossed some wires, cut some wires which they weren't supposed to cut, etc.
  14. Here's the study I was referring to about Fram making filters with cardboard instead of metal endcaps. http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilters/index.html
  15. To be honest with you I've never ever heard of that brand, just remember one thing, you get what you pay for. Good luck to you if you intend to get those filters. The endcaps I was referring to were for the older type non-cartridge filters.
  16. Head on over to carsontoyota.com or toyotapartsales.com and check them out, they're usually a lot more cheaper than your local $tealership.
  17. Then go ahead and get the Fram branded one if it suits your needs. Typical Fram filters, non-cartridge types, use cardboard endcaps while better built ones use metal endcaps. Cardboard endcaps will collapse easier than metal ones. I used to use Fram religiously until they got sold Honeywell, not sure who owns them now, but now I call them the orange can of death.
  18. Sue, you should wander over to tirerack.com and look there, they have many tires available with many user comments as well.
  19. I hear those IS-F's are nice, but I've only seen a couple of those here in SoCal which surprises me somewhat. You should head on over to clublexus.com and get your fix over there. They've got a bunch of great group buys on the forum so be prepared for a lighter wallet... or purse in your case.
  20. One more thing, Leigh, if you ever think about selling your current GS, be sure to gimme a holler first! ;)
  21. Nah, I'll stick around. I already miss my truck and I'm starting to get withdraws. We picked up a 1998 GS300 that the previous owner kept in pretty pristine condition. He lowered it about 2", put an l-tuned grille, side skirts, rear spoiler, GS400 rims and 2001-2005 taillights. It's pretty sweet and I love the power of the inline 6, feels like a V8 at times.
