  1. Those lights are fine if the ignition is switched on but should go out when the engine is running
  2. Four cylinders in the Camry are fine, the V6 is better for performance but a lot more fuel consumed so occasional long trips is fine and local town work is even better
  3. I have used Valvoline in older engines and tends to suit them better than some of the high performance oils that are suitable from low range to top end cars.
  4. It seems to be across the range from information on other Toyota forum sections (e.g. aygo, etc)
  5. I would imagine the system needs a firmware update to the more modern phone you are trying to pair (dealer or Toyota specialist job)
  6. Battery voltage could be a consideration and also depends on what fuel (petrol or diesel) if diesel then glow plugs could be the cause
  7. Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm sure it was bypassed for a reason by the previous owner, although not sure how a horn stops working unless the button or the horn itself is defective
  8. I am afraid to say that it would more than likely be the whole intake trunking that would need to be replaced I would however, attempt to remove the broken part and introduce the hose back into the hole
  9. Hi Jason Did you manage to resolve this issue in the end or did you go completely mad and burn the car? The only thing I can think of if you haven't already tried it is that a lot of cars will not play video of any sort without the parkbrake being applied?
  10. I would seriously look in the area of the new timing belt and water pump as there may be fouling on the covers or something hasn't been installed correctly
  11. Is there absolutely no way of getting the original tank repaired (again) or even getting a new one made from scratch?
  12. Not sure in the US but in the United Kingdom there is a website which is called 'how many left' and lists the number of specific makes/models left on the roads
  13. It sounds like you need to return the truck to the dealer straight away as they need to deal with this issue as a matter of urgency. Could be a caliper issue again or even a brake hose, ABS any number of things could be causing the issue but it is something that urgently needs resolving by them Let us know how you get on with it
  14. Hi....welcome to the Club Worth running a scanner on the car to see what fault codes (if any) are stored This will give you a head start in tracking down the fault
  15. Hi....welcome to the Club the headlight tint looks great, really suits the whole look of the car
  16. Hi Kenny.....welcome to the Club I would probably advise wearing ear buds or headphones which you could pair into the stereo, which should be easy enough it you connect to your phone. This way you can dial out any outside noise as could your wife who could be listening to something completely different to you at the same time
  17. Hi Jason....welcome to the Club I thought the same about Honda that I was too young to own one but the draw of massive reliability, build quality and comfort dragged me over to the dark side. It turns out that I just didn't realise I was old enough (but maybe not responsible enough) to own a car like a Honda. Same applies to Lexus and Toyota in my mind....superb cars and no reason not to own one at all if you don't tie into the stereotype that is 🙂
  18. Hi, You could try putting the car in reverse and this has the effect of 'unwinding' the brakes if they have seized on. You will need to ensure that there is plenty of room behind if the car suddenly lurches back and also to make sure the handbrake is off when attempting this
  19. Hi Ed....welcome to the Club ...and welcome back to the wonderful world of Toyota
  20. Not sure but I would apply a slight bit of pressure to the door whilst you pop the release to see if that helps.
  21. Hi....welcome to the Club I would say that the MPG readouts are vague at best and depends on driving styles If you were to reset the system and drive your style to reflect different roads, altitudes and so many other conditions that affect fuel economy and then see how it pans out
  22. Hi....welcome to the Club I guess the Lexus RX would be the best bet as it has the interior headroom height and also the hybrid drivetrain Alternatively, a lot of the other models have restricted head height but may be worth trying the RAV4 for size Let us know how you get on with it all
