  1. There are a few online sellers for SatNav updates and cheaper than the dealer charges
  2. that's quite a variation but cannot say that ambient air temperature sensors measure that accurately
  3. I would recommend taking the car to the dealer with the electrical issues you are describing unless you have a local specialist that is expert in this hybrid system
  4. Is there a small bore hose that should connect to the transfer case and/or front axle, as these can break and leak which can cause this light to come on
  5. I would check the battery condition as this can cause many strange issues if under par Check and replace if necessary and then look for any other faults with the electrical system (e.g. poor ground leads or connections)
  6. As long as the rolling diameter is the same all round then it should be fine
  7. It looks like the panel that goes across the bottom of the windshield (under the wiper arm)
  8. Hi Laserdude. .... Welcome to the Club Big Toyota fan then, good to have you onboard!
  9. I have found a few on eBay but not sure about location (e.g. UK or Europe based sellers)
  10. view from the rear of the front bumper.....looks like a bracket is used to secure the lamps to the bumper I would imagine any bracketry should come with the foglamps
  11. I think the key word here is frequent acceleration and this is a major cause of higher fuel consumption. My belief is that if you are on a freeway and you need to overtake then this will cause the fuel efficiency to drop. By using Eco Mode then the performance will be reduced and this will aid fuel consumption. However, on a freeway, the level of regeneration is also reduced so the benefit of the hybrid system will not be realised and this won't boost economy. I would keep it in Eco and see how you get on, maybe switch between the two to see any difference on the economy read out
  12. You could try posting in the UK Toyota Owners Club https://www.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/
  13. I'm guessing they have ordered a new system to replace it, at no cost?
  14. Its the only sure fired way to determine if the issue is with something as simple as an exhaust leak.....sometimes the techys don't look at the fundamental stuff first.
  15. Not sure if there is an adjustment to be made via the instrument panel controls (same as brightness for the instrument display panel) Check handbook or ask dealer about how to access it
  16. Are the left hand controls for audio as well? I'm sure there are patch leads to get the steering wheel controls to work with aftermarket audio systems. May have to run through an interface but if the wheel controls aren't that crucial to the function of the systems then maybe avoid an expensive workaround
  17. Hi Yell07 ...welcome to the Club Wow! you certainly have, or had some fine cars over the years. Both the Supra and the BMW are superb collectable cars now and would desire either of them I'm pretty sure the Cruiser will be immortal so no worries there 🙂 Good to have you onboard!
  18. That would be very expensive indeed. maybe find a good independent garage to carry out the necessary work and prioritize the list to do the most essential items first
  19. Coolant temperature sensor if the climate is colder than normal? Crankshaft position sensor may be faulty or contaminated connector
  20. Air conditioning system health check and regas possibly?
  21. Have you had the battery checked for condition and charge as this can cause the systems to go offline
  22. Is the vehicle battery in very good condition and have a full charge?
  23. Have you tested for exhaust leak (air being drawn in before or immediately after the cats? Smallest amount of unregulated air can cause this symptom Measure the oxygen content at the exhaust = should be zero (0) in O2 content Also briefly block the exhaust with a rag and listen for any hissing from the exhaust components
  24. It seems a common fault around the world as long as there is scrap value in the precious metals within the cats. There are stocks of cats in some aftermarket companies and I believe some use different materials to achieve the same catalytic conversion which will help in the long term as no value to theives
  25. Worth checking the wiring as it goes into the tailgate from the body as this can cause breaks in the wires as the tailgate opens and closes and articulates the wiring loom
