  1. The parts guy told me he would try to find it for you, and deal with you directly to save you a few bucks.
  2. You'll just have to try and use stop leak for a temporary fix. Good luck on the trip.
  3. I think you should change the tranny fluid and look for leaks.
  4. Do you have top grills on the top of the dash on those?
  5. When you say "inside" the engine, is that what you really mean? Take a screwdriver with a long shaft and a rounded end and put the blade on the valve cover(s) and put the round end of the handle in your ear. You've just made a makeshift stethoscope. Listen for anything going on in there. Have someone else rev the engine a bit while you listen with the screwdriver.
  6. I bet you that Leighcm can help you. She's one of the mods here in this USA forum. Being the other one, I'll ask my dealer about it for you.
  7. Pull the tranny dipstick and wipe it on a sheet of copy paper. What color is the fluid? Are there any particles in it?
  8. it's probably leaking from the return line, and stop leak is temporary at best. Find the leak and fix it. Go back with synthetic power steering fluid.
  9. 1. how many miles on it? 2. where is the car? somewhere cold? 3. what kind of oil do you use?
  10. I am starting to become concerned that this issue is going to become an pandemic situation. This post is getting long, and that's OK, because we are making people aware of the problem. TOY USA needs to take a better look at what is going on here. I think there ought to be a TSB on it. Let's all stick together on this because a visitor to the site might need documentation on this matter as their warranty is about to run out.
  11. Probably never. Didn't know you have to change those. Ahhh... there's the rub my friend. Welcome to the board.
  12. Hmmm. Why burn Stoli? Ethanol mileage goes down quite a bit when compared to liquified dinosaur.
  13. I have to agree with Fidgits and Lexus...warranty applies here. Grab your lawyer hat and build your paper trail.

    code P1133

[i think you have an o2 sensor going bad behing the cat convertor.
  15. You have both Autozone and Advance Auto Parts (ticker symbol AAP) in Beaumont. Call either and see if they will pull the codes on your car for you. In Atlanta they do it for free usually. So I bet in TX they will too.
  16. I can't remember now where he posted the detail of his mod. But I'm pretty sure this guy would know the answers to your Q if I can find him.
  17. Your code is actually P0446, your description is correct. 1. I have seen faulty speed sensors do this. 2. You probably have something going on with the evap canister or the solenoid is not opening.
  18. I think he's just submitted an important piece of potential evidence into why there are so many posts regarding steering wheel noise in 2002 and newer Camrys. And I started that thread, I believe.
  19. Welcome to the board. Does your commute mean you have to go back and forth from Rockford or just from Schaumberg? For some reason, Toyota seems to overstate the CITY mileage estimates, but not the HIGHWAY mileage estimates. Perhaps they don't know what's it's like to be sitting under the L in snow in the morning. Nevertheless, Fidgits is right about the computer. You can thank Cook County for your gas quality.
  20. There is a liquid anti-corrosion used by recording studios for cable connections. It is well known in the music industry and it is called DeOxyit. It's not much money. You might ask the dealer to put it on the antenna connection next time you take it in for a warranty complaint about said matter.
