  1. You could always just say it's haunted.... One of my Supras had a weird electrical thing like that too. It only happened once in awhile, always while I was driving through traffic of course, and eventually went away and never came back. It used to flip the locks lock/unlock really fast a few times. Then it just stopped doing it with no reason.
  2. At this point, it's too late to Ziebart the car...they'll just apply their product over anything that may be already stuck to the car or wrong with the car, and I think the warranty is very, very short with them with you apply to an older car. Echos are relatively problem free, so you should have many years of low maintenance driving. Enjoy!
  3. You could start with nice wheels, maybe a spoiler and some window tint...

Okay, now I'm confused. Are you saying that sometimes your car will display song titles on a certain CD, and other times it won't display song titles with the same CD?
  5. It's hard to believe that this the first time Toyota has passed GM if they beat them by 90,000 vehicles...
  6. Thanks...and welcome!! What are your plans with your Corolla?
  7. Compressor, perhaps? When you turn on the a/c, do you hear the noise from the compressor, and the air just blows warm, or does it not make any sounds? If the compressor turns on, but the a/c blows warm, you'll most likely need to charge the system (but keep in mind that there's probably a good reason that there's no refrigerant left, like a leak somewhere....).
  8. You can get one at any Toyota dealer. Just remember to keep appropriate documentation FROM THE DEALER with mileage officially notated, or your resale value will be virtually non-existent. No one wants to buy or sell a vehicle with "mileage unknown".

Is it always the same? ie: CD "A" always displays the song title, etc., while CD "B" never displays the song title? If that's the case, it's the CD itself. It all depends on if the CD was made with the song titles or not...
  10. A lot depends on climate too...in harsh climates, like here in the Las Vegas desert, you can pretty much plan on replacing it every couple years because the heat will kill batteries at an extremely rapid rate.
  11. Try reprogramming them. I think there's a box under the driver's seat that you can program them from. Not positive on that location for the Land Cruiser, but many of the other Toyotas have it there.
  12. Yeah...it's just the motor for that window. They will get too warm and shut off. Try a junkyard. The part will be $100-200 to buy from a dealer.
  13. You may be able to find someone who could put in new seat rails and move the seat back...but it'll be tough because of the potential liability. Look for a machine shop who'd be willing to do a small project...
  14. I love the interior...hope it's produced like that.
  15. It's probably the power window motor...you'll most likely just have to replace it. About $200.
  16. Hmmm...I think I'd rather spend my money on making the car faster than making the doors spin...
  17. I'm pretty sure the one for the 2006 won't work. I looked around a bit, but I couldn't find anything for your car...you could maybe check with a machine shop and get something custom made with an aluminum frame...? (I know, it's a long shot, but it's all I've got...)
  18. Let us know what you find out.
