  1. My guess would be that you do need to remove the inside panel, but I imagine it's just a few clips. Just be careful you don't break any clips when you remove it.
  2. If you hit the voice command button, you should immediately get a little pop-up menu on the screen. One of the buttons on the screen should be a "help" type button. Push that, and it'll go into a menu with all the voice commands itemized by category. Also, please note that if you have a very strong accent, for example a New York accent or a Texas accent, you may have issues with the Navigation voice command. It seems to work best with a strong clear Midwest accent.
  3. Try this: http://www.siennaclub.org/forum/index.php?showtopic=15388 There's a link about halfway down the page to download a wiring diagram. You have to be signed in to do it, but it only takes a minute to set up an account.
  4. Did you look at the little camera on the back to see if it has damage?
  5. Any chance it's still under factory warranty? It's a 2004, so the warranty should expire sometime in the 2007 model year. What does it do when he shifts into reverse? Does anything come up on the screen at all?
  6. It's a van with Navigation with the factory installed camera in the tailgate, right?
  7. My Camry used to do that too...turned out to be just the fuel filter, no big deal.
  8. Cool!! Think it would look good on a GS350? :)
  9. I'm pretty sure it's in the disc. However: I was able to add the override feature on my 2007 GS350, but I have a friend who is having difficulties adding the overide to his 2007 IS250.
  10. If it's a factory installed system, you can get a new remote from any Toyota dealer for about $50-60 and program it to your car. It seems like there was something with those old alarms that you could get in the car, turn the key to accessory and back 5 times, and it would deactivate the alarm and engine kill switch.
  11. You could also burn a new Nav disc and rewrite it with the "LOADING.kwi" file from an older version....then you can just go into the volume screen and go into an override file...it's really, really easy.
  12. Most likely, you just need to pop out the old disc, and put the new one in. If it doesn't work, turn the car off then back on, and if it still doesn't work, disconnect the battery for 10 minutes or so, then reconnect and turn back on. If the screen ever says anything about "loading" or something similar, just leave it alone until it's done starting up. I'm not positive as to exactly where the Nav disc goes in your car, but check in the back hatch area under the carpet. It's a usually a black box that's about the same general size and shape of a CD changer, and is usually tucked into one side or the other.
  13. Eibach makes good springs...check out their site: http://eibach.com/cgi-bin/start.exe/eibach/index.html
  14. Hmmm...could be the computer..? Stevelaw? Any ideas?
  15. Congrats! Enjoy...and make sure you get the factory one, otherwise it won't work with the other half of the stereo.

  17. Sounds like fun...post pics as you get them!
  18. What color is your car? Also, try inside the glovebox for a small white label, about 3"x2". The paint code will be a 4 digit number starting with a zero. What's your VIN? I can look up the original color code.
  19. I'll try to be more accurate next time!! :D :D
  20. I was being nice... Is "complete moron" better? :P
  21. Not quite as cool as the EVO...I'll pass on this one!
  22. You definitely do not have a CD player. The good news is that it's one of the cheaper Toyota factory CD players to install because most of the controls are already on the stereo faceplate (see CD button!). The CD player goes in the area that's currently just black plastic above the radio, and it's just the CD slot with an eject button. It's a dealer installed option, and really fast and easy to install. Sounds like the person you spoke to at the dealership was a little on the clueless side...
  23. It's a blank slate...have fun! I'd do some nice wheels, myself...
  24. Every once in a great while, it's actually the light itself that has the issue... Did you check your fuel cap to make sure it's on tightly? Try taking it off, putting it back on, and making sure it clicks 3 times when you close it. It may not immediately clear, but may work in a day or so. This is the most prevalent reason a car kicks a code...
