    stick with the Michelin's. ;)
  2. I would suggest using the US Postal as UPS charges duty fees to packages going to Canada. Or if you have family or friends who live near the US/Canada border - have the item shipped to their US address and just cross over to pick it up - might not convenient if you are located pretty far from the border.
  3. Welcome! That is a great 1st car to have. I believe it has the 4AFE motor - which is reliable and gets great fuel mileage. Enjoy your time here.
  4. Welcome! I will contact the proper admins to look into that issue for you. This site was recently been updated and some features still need to be worked out. Enjoy your stay here and feel free to look around some more.
  5. Welcome! Feel free to post pics of your Toyota vehicles! B)
  6. Does the Sienna have a timing belt or chain? If it has a timing chain, then it's normal when the engine is cold.
  7. Remember when Fords were catching on fire about 10 years ago? Witch hunt on Toyota by the Feds - so blatant!!!
  8. Welcome to TOC USA! I love the Toyota Auris in your avatar.
  9. still wonder why the driver just put the car in neutral (auto or manual transmission) and turn off the ignition...... ...and if a certain someone posts non-sensical garbage in this thread or ANY other thread - they will have an extra 5 floor mats in their car on the driver's side floor. . . ;)
  10. you would be better off looking through crutchfield.com for your audio needs. they also have online assistance as well as recommendations with radio and speaker compatibility for your 2009 Corolla.
  11. welcome sally! feel free to to create your own welcome thread and to post pics of your your Toyota vehicle.
  12. The auto trannys on the Corollas and Matrix (particularly the 03-08s) are a bit quirky. 90% of the time just leave it the O/D on. The only time the Toytas can have the O/D off is if on a steep incline or decline (think hills & mountains). Though keep in mind the automatics on these cars run hotter than what the manual would state for a fluid exchange. The 03-04s were to be changed @ 45-60k miles, but from my experience and from many others - it is better to do the tranny fluid flush OR fill and replace @ about 25-30k miles. I think the 05-08s have been updated about the longetivity for the ATF service. Also if you have the Cruise Control on - the auto tranny will feel like it's slowing down or in some cases even turn off - the transmissions are adjusting to the lack of torque in these 4 cylinder motors. <_< I suppose that is the price to pay for better than average fuel economy as compared to other manufacturers vehicles. More torque would be nice, in fact even a few bolt on modifications can assist with the scenario I mentioned in the previous sentence.
  13. very nice rims! missing the center caps but very nice. good to see a fellow matrix driver here. don't be shy and post more pics. also I suggest using an image hosting site to display your pics on message boards such as this one.
  14. EFI - electronic fuel injection, which meant a big thing back in the mid 80s. Perhaps new fuel injectors are needed? A proper fuel injection service requires more than pouring some sort of cleaner in the gas tank, after all those years it might be hopelessly clogged. Might be time for an engine rebuild or swap as a worst case scenario. Before you do - look into the transmission, see if that might be causing any issues. Small oil leak may be the oil pan gasket or the pan itself. Have you had the car looked thoroughly with a mechanic to find other possible problems?
  15. Look into your local auto retailer - I know a brand name like Autometer has gauges in different styles for your needs.
  16. for best choices - tirerack.com good quality for a low price - look into Kumhos.
  17. Corolla looks good for being 18 years old.
