    code po135

Did you get the code read again? It might be a different issue. If it is the same, did you replace the O2 sensor before or after the catalytic converter? Just wanted to be sure you replaced the correct sensor.
  2. Welcome to TOCUSA!!! What car do you drive or have? Pics are welcome. ;)
  3. correct, it started as only the old school toyotas aka Toyota Owners Restorer Club but they have also included the modern models as well. The show combines the Toyotas from the past with the present day Toyotas. Try to make it out here and check for your self, I bet you will enjoy the time spent.

  5. Welcome to TOC USA!! Is that the 4age motor? It's been a while since I had my 89 Corolla GTS.... :(
  6. I prefer menthols myself...... j/k I don't smoke..... :P
  7. Reading this thread again, perhaps since it has doing that since you 1st got it, you might want to check the starter. Also the 1zz-fe motor is known to have weird idle issues, so it may or may not be related. I would suggest having the starter checked out 1st. 2nd - have the alternator diagnosed after the starter. Hope you finally find the issue.
  8. Must know if it is OEM or aftermarket to answer your question.
  9. Do you inadvertantly step on the brake while driving down the road? I have seen a few drivers do that. Prematurely wearing the brake pads like that can cause multiple trips to the dealer for new pads installation.
  10. Overall it is a typical transmission. It does tend to run a bit hot so figure ATF fluid change or flush every 15k or 20k miles. That is the only problem I have had with it since I got it on May 31st 2002. Currently @ 95k miles. Cruise control feature will struggle when going on a slight uphill, which may be due to the lack of torque. Nothing big but still get very good fuel mileage. Torque converter lock occurs depending on revs and environment, happens from 1st to 2nd gear shift from the auto. tranny. And as for the Toyota A and U transmissions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Toyota_transmissions
  11. other than a clog in the fuel line, it is most likely the alternator is going bad. have it tested a.s.a.p.

  13. Mold on the A/C condenser. Wet seatbelt might mean there is an opening perhaps from the bottom of the Corolla wagon, might be due to rust or damage. check underneath. Hope you find the issue.

  19. Welcome to TOC USA!!! Nice pics, were they taken @ the Salt Flats in Utah?
  20. sorry to hear all that you are going through. . . sounds like when your son tried to slim jim the driver side door - he bent the the connector, try to "re bend" the connector and see if that works, worst case - take it to a mechanic or body shop you trust to make this simple repair - should only cost one hour at the most of labor time. Hope things work out for you and your son!
