Hey everyone and thanks for any and all who reply. I just bought my son a 1996 Toyota Corolla DX VIN # 1NXBB02E8TZ462522, Engine Family TTY1.8VJG1GK I have been troubleshooting and here is wherre I am at. No spark, No fuel, I have voltage at positive side of ignition coil performed resistance check on both pick up coil and igniter and they both are good. My book refers me to the ecm. I plugged the code reader in and got an error on the code reader. So I removed the ecm Toyota Part #89661-02220, got a ecm off of a 1997 Corolla Toyota part # 89661-02300. Still same thing on code reader and Fuel and Spark. I have no voltage at the fuel pump and I checked and do not have voltage at the Fuel Pump Opening Circiut relay but do have voltage at the Main relay. I also tested the main relay and Opening Circuit relay and both operated when voltage applied. 1.) How do I find out if the 02300 ECM will work in my car? 2.) Any tips or ideas or steer me in the right direction? Thanks Again Mike

Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mike and my sons name is Jobe. Jobe is getting his drivers permit in two weeks, so we went out and bought him a 1996 Toyota Corolla DX model. Currently it does not run but we are working on that.
