If it is a petrol engine, I would check and/or replace the spark plugs as this is quite common.
Replace with a different brand and type (e.g. hotter / colder plug) and see if there is any difference.

You may find larger profile tyres may improve the ride quality but will have an effect on handling (on bends, etc)

Depends what you want to spend really. Generally you get what you pay for with tyres and I would avoid the really cheap end of the market for the sake of a few bucks.
Top brands are normally companies like pirelli and goodyear - you normally can't go wrong with those.
Mid range brands like khumo and hankook are normally pretty good for the money too!

Wow that sucks that it's still doing it after having it replaced. I would just keep getting it swapped under warranty while you can until it sorts it. You're right though it's definitely unacceptable on a 2014 - you should be able to use a CD if it has that feature!

Don't have one I'm afraid but that does definitely sound suspicious on a 2014 model. Did they not supply the code with the car then?

Not for high beams as LED's don't give off a beam so well but for DRLs it should be OK providing you get the right type!

You can fit whatever size wheels you like on a car providing you get the rolling radius the same. You also need to make sure the wheels clear the brakes (which I'm sure they will).

If Toyota recommends 6 years and it had been 13 then I would get it changed as soon as possible. Not worth the risk in my opinion.

Start with an air filter/cold air intake and a sports exhaust. A good starting point and should help it breath better etc

1997 1.6 L engine knocking - bent rod?

A bent conrod could only be caused by something like a hydraulic lock (water or other fluid in quantity between the piston and cylinder head) or similar which cannot be compressed and results in the rod becoming bent.
Alternatively, if the compressions are tested for each cylinder, the one with the bent rod will be lower.
Keep us update on the progress but bear in mind, if its a rattle its top end of the engine and if its a knock its bottom end and a bent rod would be a knock, not a rattle.
More than likely hydraulic tappets are weak due to loss of oil....suggest oil flush and change along with the filter once the oil leak is fixed.
