    2ZZ-GE ECU

Now, the Greddy emanage etc, are used to control the fuelling, however, these are used for highly modified engines, when you require a fine degree of control over the engine to make the most of substantial modifications. In the case of a car suffering from underfuelling problems, a simple re-map of the existing ECU should work, and failing that, a Dastek Unichip should be a cheap Piggy-Back solution - even if still overkill..

  5. Hi and welcome to the club in the UK, the octaines are 95 or 98 RON, I know the US have a slightly different measurement system. The problem with Japanese imports is that japan have a 100RON fuel for their high performance engines. Now some Octaine boosters do work, not as well as claimed, but it may help your problem, but it will be an expensive fix!

  9. I would have said it was the alternator, but you have replaced this... what mileage does the car have? Could it be corroded engine mounts?
  10. well, to me it sounds like a compression problem... take it to a garage that can do a compression test, they should find the fault...
  11. to me, that sounds like the head gasket... Take off the oil cap, does it have a youghurt gunk on it? if so, water is getting into your block and you'll probably need a new head gasket..

    Toyota Prius

It should tell you that in the manual, I looked on the Toyota website, and it had n/a for the towing specs...
  13. That is a common problem.. its down more to the synchromesh and clutch mechanism than anything else... If it starts happening frequently, you may need a new clutch..

    Toyota Prius

I'm sure Toyota will have a towbar they could fit.. However, my concern would be how much weight could the Prius actually pull?
  15. yeah, a cold air intake is a good addition, although, its best when combined with a performance exhaust system... The intake alone, will only give an extra 1~3 HP, but it will improve the responsivness and remove flat spots.. Not to mention the induction sound ;)
  16. try these: http://www.toms-trd.com.hk/ or taka kaira or http://www.c-one.co.jp
  17. sounds like this could be a common problem then?
  18. That doesnt sound too good. :(
  19. I wouldn't worry. All modern cars have automatic chokes, so a high RPM when its cold is to be expected. As for the oil issue, again, this is a known fact which the manufacturers work their tolerances to!
  20. You would be able to replace the CD input with the IPod input, but that would mean losing your CD player.. To be honest, the FM modulator is probably your best bet..
  21. I've got a Lexus IS200 (the Toyota Altezza in Japan)
