  1. perhaps a 80's corrola would be best, depending on the size of the car... Toyota is infamous for re-using parts... I cant help specifically on your car - i dont even know what it is - so if you have any pictures, they would be greatly appreciated..

  3. timing belts are either 60k or 80k - im not sure which for the Camry.. it can be quite tricky, so make sure a decent mechanic does it..
  4. yeah, your better off taking it to the dealer to resolve. If you fiddle yourself, your only likely to make it worse...
  5. you only need to bleed the brakes if there is air in the system, this is usually apparant by a spongyness in the brake pedal...
  6. NOS (you realise thats actually a brand, you should say Nitrous Oxide, or No2) is ovverated... Its the automotive equivalent of writing a web-page with Microsoft word - does the job but very unsofisticated and simplistic... Fast and the furious has a lot to answer for...
  7. ahh, sorry, I am not a potential buyer - I was just trying to help you sell it - pictures tend to attract more interest that just a description...
  8. well, lets deal with the second part first... As this is entirley possible. However, you need a compatible gearbox, as well as a complete clutch assembly, servo etc... It would be quite expensive to do. As for the former, well yes, theoretically, you could, but you would need to replace a majority of the running gear - dont forget you would need to cut a new transmission tunnel underneath the car - and as part of the process would need a whole new gearbox, you could do this as well, but it would cost you a lot of money. Fensport have built a 4WD 3s-GTE powered Corrola that has hit 200mph... I personally dont think its worth the investment, when you could buy a Celica GT4 for the money the gearbox change alone would cost..
  9. you should have no problems attaching images to your post ;)
  10. glad to hear your happy with it... any pics?
  11. yeah, i cant see why a charger would have any issues with the additional mods.. after all, its only compressing the air and putting it into the engine..
  12. To be honest mate - i don't know of any aftermarket camshafts available for the new Corrola... :( That said, I know TTE have a supercharger conversion ;)
  13. its different for every model - and i can't help you with this - perhaps call your Dealer and see if he's feeling generous..
  14. what can i say - i might not know a lot of things, but i know enough ;)
  15. thats just because motorway speeds for an increased amount of time can put a strain on the Diff... Generally you'll be fine up to 50mph in 4WD mode, but above that, best to go 2WD.
  16. best bet is to let the car roll backwards to engage the 4wd properly..
  17. sorry, i dont :( dont perhaps another member will be along that does know...
  18. hmmm... Thats a tricky one... is it firing on all cylinders? it might be worth taking it to a garage...
  19. ahh - and your still having problems?
  20. oooh, very tricky.. I had a friend with a '76 Celica, but he fettled that by hand, and used performance carbs etc... i think you will find it very difficult unless you can find a specialist.
  21. to be honest, i think you'd be better off replacing the distributor cap if it was corroded... it was probably the source of the issue, and even if you find something else, it will probably be benificial...
  22. sounds like a short to me... sorry bud, but a dealer it will have to be...
  23. surely a stationwaggon would be your best bet? turn the load space into a make-shift bed...
