sounds like the starter motor..

I'd reccomend Denso...
but for an '81 just champion or whatever should be fine.,.
-
apparantly the Prius are very 'nippy', and impressively economical..
and they are loaded with equipment...
-
not bad going for saying its been stood for 5 years.
-
if its been sat for 5 years, then it could be one of quite a few things - i think the more you fiddle and drive it, the more it'll loosen up...
-
sorry man - i think its more down to the site just getting off the ground rather than you being ignored...
-
cool news!
-
have you got any pictures of your seo?
-
looks good ;)

LOL!
We do have about 400-odd members on the US forums (several thousand total), but as the US site has only been going a few months theres not the same traffic as a well established forum..
But we have quite a few members that visit time-to-time, and give it a few more months and it will start getting busy!

hello, and congrats on your purchase!

I've never heard of these, how do they work?
-
very nice :D
-
did it work?
-
well, a cold air intake will give a slight increase in performance, as well as noise..
Best is to couple this with a performance exhaust system, which should give you a reasonable improvement..
-
I know of a few guys with modified Paseo's...
i'll see if i can drag them over to answer your questions...
-
sounds like a short - have you checked the bulb socket?
-
generally, you need to adjust the geometry of your wheels everytime you adjust the height - this includes tracking, toe angle and camber.
If you dont do this, the contact footprint of the tyre is all wrong, and it will wear uneven.
-
but be honest, doing that will mess up the camber of the wheel, and screw up the handling more so...
-
you can actually buy suspension blocks - which are pretty much what they sound like.
Plastic blocks you insert in the springs, which raise the height somewhat.. but can have a negative effect on handling..
-
If its only 2 weeks old, i would be at your dealer demanding they fix it... and give you something for your trouble!
-
hey Gordy, and welcome...

could it be coming from underneath? the wheel arches perhaps?
