The only down side that that is that by switching your lights on, it dims all of the interior lighting and makes some of the digital readouts hard to see in the daylight.
ahh okay.

i think you can get a turbo for it, i believe the Galanza turbo is the same fitment?
-
You will need a DIN adapter, available from all good audio stores etc.
this will allow you to insert any standard aftermarket head unit, including the flip up screen ones.
-
this might sound odd, but could you not just switch your lights on?
-
surely the wind noise was there during your test drive?
-
I would guess at a faulty sensor also, but if it keeps coming on..

Yeah, there are plenty out there from Datek, GReddy etc...
it all comes down to your budget and what you want from it...

i think a piggy-back ECU would be a better bet, more control, and easy to put back to standard!

welcome to the club.
As has been said, keep an eye on the fluid level, and keep it topped up, the stop leak would certainly be a good short term fix, and perhaps try a few different garages to see if they all suggest replacing the rack and pinion, not to mention compare the quotes.

hi and welcome to TOC...
from my opinion, the Paseo's are great cars - but really need a set of lowering springs and 17" alloys!

Just a little forum advice - capitials are seen as shouting.

best bet, run the cables on the top of the footwells, down the running boards etc...
-

your best bet, is get the part number, try autozone, toyota, idependant retailers...
Toyota are well known for part re-use, so you should be okay.

does the solara have a partition section for the boot? if so, the roof wont go down if you dont have that across...
Also, this might sound a little silly, but have you unclipped the front?
-

I would hazzard a guess at it being incorrectly wired up then.
Although, i doubt even your stereo would drain your battery flat, but its probably the best place to start looking.
Aternator, solenoid???

yeah, id guess at a strained alternator, although id probably try a new battery first, incase its just leakage.
