I've always thought that if you couldn't have a Toyota/Lexus/Scion, then a Honda/Acura is first runner up. Enjoy your Avalon. Avalons are fantastic cars, and it will completely spoil you. Searching Google seems to have turned up several Toyota owners commenting on such a creak/rattle in their own vehicles.
