redman1118
? on the front hydraulic mount style. Top bolt is there; engine raising on acceleration test; is the top mount bolt a "through bolt" and can be replaced or does it thread into a sleeve that's supposed to be secured to the rubber mount. If it threads into a sleeve can the sleeve be epoxied "or whatever" to reattach the sleeve to the mount rubber securely to repair it. If the bolt is a through bolt can it be replaced with a grade 5 bolt? New Mount cost's $71 I'm told by parts stores thanks
prof
The top bolt you mention threads into, not thru the motor mount. Your motor mount is worn out and its common to have to replace it. Epoxy will not work in this application at all. You may want to verify that the bolt is tight. If its tight and the engine moves on acceleration, the hydraulic cylinder in the mount is simply worn out. ? on the front hydraulic mount style. DFBonnett
OP, As prof noted, the mount is not repairable.
