2002 Camry transmission shifting issues all gears

2002 Camry. 4cyl 231,000

It has been in the family for 11 years. It always ran fine.

About 1.5 years ago it was sold to a friend of a brother in-law.

It was driven very little and not at all in the last 6 months.

The engine seems to run fine.

It now shifts horribly in all gears. gear selector has a 1,2,3 no D

So i assume 1,2,3 and OD. There is no OD button that i am aware of.

I have only driven it once. About 15 miles to my house.

I ended up driving it almost like a manual. but i was not moving the gear selector,

I would run it up to 4000rpm then let up on the accelerator to let it shift into second. Then repeat to get it into third,.

once up to 60 on the highway it would be slow to drop out of overdrive when going up a long hill.

I was babying the accelerator the whole way because i didnt know if it was going to make it home.

The symptoms did not change as the car warmed up.

The tranny did do some slight bucking.

I believe it would downshift correctly when coming to a stop.

With an obd2 plug using torque app. It only comes up with a o2 sensor code 1135.

Is there a transmission control module? or is it part of the ECM?

Can i just throw in a used ECM from a similar car?

Would any vacuum lines affect shifting?

Is the a Shift Solenoid that would affect all gears?

I am not afraid of dropping the tranny  pan and changing valves.

The battery has gone fully drained while sitting. I am aware of poor idle after changing batteries on a camry, But it idled fine after jumping it.

I will try all ideas

Thanks...

I was thinking of disconnecting the batter.

I will do that right now.

This is what I did this morning. And more.

Car has expired tabs and not in my name but I have the signed title. So I can only drive it in the neighborhood.

After a little more driving. If I accelerate very lightly and maybe on a down hill it shifts fine.

It shifts immediately from park to drive or reverse whether the car is cold or hot.

But if going up hill or just normal acceleration.  It won't shift to second or third until over 4000 rpm. Usually I lift off the gas  it shifts.

I see no indication of slippage.

I do however feel some bucking .

Still no error codes besides o2 sensor before cat.

When I double checked the fluid this morning.

When cold it was just under the bottom of the stick. When hot it was 3/8th of an inch below th bottom hot mark.

After filling it to slightly above full. It drives the same.

If the pictures made into the post. The rubber on the intake to the throttle body was folded over when i first got the car a couple days ago.

I then cleaned the throttle body. It was not bad. And cleaned the mass air flow sensor. After the cleaning  the idle was still good.

With the gear selector in the 1 position. The acceration doesnt feel great. I feel a bucking. But the engine is sounding normal.

My sister does have the same year camry. But lives 3 hours away. If I can get a hold of her camry. Which parts do you suggest I try switching first?

Ecm....

Throttle body/throttle position...

Egr....

IAC...

I have seen comments that this car has a very coarse tranny filter and really doesn't need to be changed.

Can just one of the shift solenoids mess up the shifting in all gears?

And does anyone know if there is a port that I can check tranny line pressure?

I do have a $700 dollar Autel scanner. It doesn't give me a ton of info on this 2002.

But I can activate solenoids while driving.  Its a two person job.

Any more ideas?

I will be checking fuses after lunch. Anything specific I should be looking for?

Thanks..
