  1. That hose is breather. You can leave it hanging. It could spill some oil occasionally. It doesnt have any effect on engine when disconnected from intake. Dont know why your car is "dying", I was driving my car without any (I didnt had anything before throtlle plate) air intake for about 2 months. Breather hose was hanging and IAT sensor was hanging too.

By the way.. Where you put you incoming air temperature sensor?

You can get breather filter from ebay and put it on the end of that hose you were talking about. Or on the valve cover, where that hose is connected. Remove the hose and put a filter.

  2. actually i'v seen some ppl that modded their automatic car to a extreme amount. I once found a guy who had a IS300 5speed auto E-shift and turbo'd it past 400 horsepower, that thing was insane

Yeah, and with a manual it would be even crazier than insane ;)

  3. I'm thinking I'm going to wait. I really want to start doing things to this car by myself...not to mention right now I'm just concentrating on driving and not the radio.

    I like your attitude

  4. As a general rule, anything that you pour in your engine because it promises miracles isn't worth doing....

Yeah, even N2O doesnt do any miracles you see in movies or games  But its fun anyway ;)

  5. Like I said.. Do it if you want to. But if you have crappy piston rings that sh** could get in your oil system and after awhile it will clog smaller oil canals in cylinder head or block. And thats something you really dont want to happen.

And if it is as good as they say.. How the hell it gets away from oil system? And all dirt from internal parts?

Oh, I know.. it ends up in the same canals in head and block.. Fu**** bullsh**

  6. Ok guys new idea...and super cheap. What do you guys think about seafoaming my Camry? Seems like it would be useful for an older engine....and I doubt it's been done before. Just need an open stretch of road or somewhere where I could rev it to clear it up...

    Thoughts? Thanks.

    crap

I rather be doing piston rings, main and rod bearings and most of the gaskets change.. But that "over your head" right? So go ahead, pour that sh** in your engine if that will make you feel better..

  7. I just want enough space to put a couple of CDs, maybe an MP3 player...I'm not asking for much. (Seriously, have you seen the cargo space in a 1993-1998 Supra?)

I'm conflicted on the hybrid bit. I like hybrids...they're fun to drive, torquey, smooth, quiet, and get decent mileage, but I really like some of the old school sports car characteristics: rumbling engine, obvious shift points if automatic, etc.!

I thought you want a cargo space for lika a 4 big luggeges or smth

Sure I saw that. Its enought for 4 speakers and a N2O tank :lol::lol: And thats all space I need

  8. I had to get the cat convertor replaced about a week ago. Has this happened to anyone else? I am not complaining about Atlanta Toyota. They did a great job and it didn't cost me a dime. But has this happened to anyone else?

    STEVE

Most cats are "useful" until about 94k

After that they starting to clog and are not very effective.

Cat has platinum and some other valuable metals in it. So the guys, who changed your cat made some money not only from you, but from your cat too ;)

  9. After you get your license, you should try to talk your dad into paying for a driving school. Skip Barber has a couple different levels, a basic driving lesson, and some advanced courses (FUN!).

    Like what?

  10. not sure what 2994ccm is. 4psi is the TRD factory pullie, good for about 210 whp on the auto tranny. no one has a 12 psi pullie that ive ever herd of and certainly not without a fully built motor and very upgraded fuel system. as far as the camry goes the TRD S/C is the only good FI option out there for the money. the other smaller pullies that were in production can get u up to about that 340 but at the crank and at 10psi but no one i know would go over 6 with out engine and tranny work. that aint much by todays standards but it is a camry. i also only paid about 600 bucks for 3,400 bucks worth of mods so it was a no brainer.

i do have a very crappy pic of the engine bay before i cleaned it, not much to look at but how many S/Ced camrys do u see

ccm - cubic cm - 1/1000 of litre. Your displacement.

Hey, I'm not talking about S/Cing it to a 12psi. I'm talking about turbo. But yeah, you right.. auto tranny will not hold that much. Engine components will hold it if you lower the initial compression ratio (Thicker cylinder head gasket would be one of the cheapest choises. Not too good though) and put a good fuel map and getting some higher flow injectors. Ignition map have to be tuned too. If you keep AFR rich enought pistons and conrods will hold the boost. Of course if you want to make everything right you have to get those forged Ross pistons.

In your case S/C is the best option ($600) but you can make a nice turbo project with $3400.. With much better results..

Although if you have an auto tranny.. well.. you better get a manual one..

Manual tranny holds increased power very good. Unless you do some crazy sh** like drifting. Then you have to get a Limited slip differential. Of course any increase in power requires a better clutch.

  11. Hey guys...this is gonna sound pretty noobish but what does it mean to "dyno" your car? I see a lot of people saying that...

Dyno means putting your car on a dynamometer stand and testing your cars torque and horsepower. And recording a dyno plot (two graphs - torque vs rpm and hp vs rpm)

  12. Sounds like an awesome car (except for the crappy sound system)! How much power are you making in that thing?

2994ccm should be making about 215 - 220 hp @ 4 psi, depending on valvetrain, intercooling and other stuff like that..

With "safe" boost limit of 12 psi (safe for internals with enough fuel) it will be making about 360 hp but NOT with that crappy supercharger..

To author - can you put some pictures of your engine compartment?

  13. Not even close. Different platform, different motor, different transmission. Same parent company, that's it. The Supra, the IS300, and the SC300 are very close, but the LF-A is VERY, VERY far away. Take it from a 3 time Supra & 1 time SC300 owner....

Do you want it to be the SAME car?! with SAME engine and SAME transimssion? You know.. They are advacing on that.. ;) Camry has GS350 engine.. so its not a Camry, right? Because it doesnt have an engine from 94 Camry

I like your way of thinking ;)

  14. Yeah...I'd love to have the manual, but I think it's a little better for now at least to learn on an automatic, and take the test on an automatic. After that...well we'll have to see.

What are you going to learn on an automatic?:lol:

I took my test on manual.. ;)
