OBD scanner for 1994 4Runner?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend a relatively low-cost OBD scanner that would work on a 1994 4Runner (6 cylinder)? Would this SUV take an OBD I or OBD II - type scanner?

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure you're OBD I. I think it wasn't OBD II until 1996.

Do you need to pull just one code? If so, you can get that done for free at places like AutoZone.

Yeah, and if he's in the southeast, Advance auto parts will pull it for free as well.

hi, my friend, I am sure that your car is the obdI, if your car has the 20 pin connector, I know MINI VCI can diagnose for your car, if your car is 16 pin connector, you need to purshare the 20 pin convert. If you just want to diagnose code, you can go to the auto zone.

good luck...
