Newbie
Just bought a brand new Camry Hybrid less than a week ago and I scraped my front bumper like an idiot. I need some advice. Should I take it back the dealer to fix or is any body shop good enough for this type of damage. How much would something like this cost. There is no dent, but the paint is clearly scratched off to the metal underneath. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Toyota Owners Club
Ouch! thats unfortunate! I would let a reputable Smart Repairer deal at very little cost. A dealership would either farm it out to a Smart Repairer or Bodyshop who would remove the bumper to fully spray it, which would cost a small fortune
ruggb
1st - I think all modern bumpers are plastic. 2nd - a patch job may be cheapest, but matching the paint is an issue. I had a couple of attacks by trees and they painted parts that were not damaged 'cause they bordered the damaged panel and it is white.
