Jake the Dog
On my 1992 Camry XLE the radio stopped working. The lights work on it, and sometimes when you first turn it on, it will come on and then go off in 1 to 2 seconds and then won't come on again. The whole time the lights stay lit, however. Any ideas? fidgits
sounds like the amps dying, or cutting out... It could be as simple as one of the speakers shorting, so the output amp has a safety cut out.. but from your description it does sound like something in the player, amp is most common. stevelaw
Has the Camry ever been in deep snow? Ever had water in the cabin: in the dash? You might have a corrosion issue as well.

stevelaw
Well, if you don't have any corrosion issues, you have a short, most likely.
