rhwimmers
Braking seemed to slowly start to not work as well and had to push down a lot further on pedal to get car to stop. All lights on dash started coming on and then an annoying buzzer sounds. Took to a dealership and they said the ABS module needed replaced- Part was like $1800 and labor was only like $350. Is this possible to be a DIY job? I see the parts online for like $500 new and even cheaper used. Even if not DIY, would any mechanic be able to do it or is it one of those dealer only things since its all tied to the hybrid system? Toyota Owners Club
Try taking it to an independent garage as an ABS module change it easy enough to carry out However, I would try a fluid change (including flushing the ABS module to see if this improves things (which would occur if you had the module changed anyway)
