JMD Posted January 21, 2021 Share Posted January 21, 2021 Just bought a 2021 4Runner and while getting something from the passenger side I noticed the silver shift trim on that side was completed scratched up. Due to the angle you don’t see the scratches when sitting in the driver side. I’ve only had the car for 5 days, and barely have driven it, so I’m assuming it came this way but didn’t notice until today. I expect scratches over time, but I’m pretty upset about it since the car has under 100 miles and is literally brand new. The entire side is scratched. Has anyone had success finding a product to buff this out? I’m tempted to take it back to the dealer and see if they will do anything, but not sure if they will since I didn’t notice when I picked it up. Any advice? Toyota Owners Club Posted February 2, 2021 Share Posted February 2, 2021 I would certainly address it with the dealer and see if they are willing to replace it.
