DaveRC Posted October 17, 2006 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Recently I had to replace the batteries in my 1997 Avalon & in my daughters 1999 Camry. Ever since then, the alarm systems on both vehicles, sets themselves on. Can someone tell me how to change it to the vehicle only being alarmed, when the door locks are locked? Leighcm Posted October 18, 2006 Share Posted October 18, 2006 Do you still have the little manual in your owner's manual set? It's a thin white leaflet with only 4-5 pages. I'm not sure on the exact programming, but I can tell you where to start: on the Camry, you'll be able to program it from a box behind the dash on the left side of steering wheel...just pop out a piece of trim to access it.
