John
Having problems with my '98 Corolla 4 door. Engine light is lit up. When engine is cold the acceleration is OK, until you stop again, then it starts acting up. Acceleration is slow until you hit 20mph, then everthing is fine. I now have to shift to "L" lower gear, then shift it to regular drive after. I have an automatic transmission. Can anyone give a clue what I can do? Or how much this would cost to bring in? Thanks. stevelaw
When's the last time you changed the tranny fluid & filter? You may have a bad soleniod, but you may also have a clogged valve body.
John
Probably never. Didn't know you have to change those. I go to Jiffy Lube all the time. They change all the fluids, but don't know if they do that. I will have to ask them if they did. But as for myself I never changed it. Thanks for the feed back, I will try to change it out. LynchMob
Although tranny fluid is made to last more long term.... i change all my fluids on regular intervals.
John
I'll try to change it more often when I change my oil. I also have a Celica. Anywayz, I did change it out and the filter. Do I have to wait a little bit til its clean? Still doing the same thing thats why. I think I'll just bring it in to a mechanic. I live in Vegas anyone know someone reliable?
