sputaansuu
I need to change my brakes, bearings and rotor ASAP but don't want to pay to have it done. At least not yet. I figure if I can get it done now by a family member then when finances aren't so tight I'll cough up the extra cash to have Les Schwab do it. Unfortunately I don't know if there are certain brands that are better than others. I don't want to sacrifice safety completely but I'm on a fixed income. Any advice you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, Stephanie
mikesouthard570
O'Reilly Auto Parts has great Rotors and Pads! I use Ceramic pads and i believe they were called Best Brakes! I ordered Timkin wheel Bearings from JCWhitney and saved alot of money!
drewusmaximus
If you want to save money, get 19.99 pads from Autozone, 20.00 rotors from Autozone and 15.00 for each wheel bearings but, the wheel bearings have to be pressed on by a shop since the bearing goes into the knuckle. That's what I did to my 03 echo and it has 193k but put 20k on the new bearings, cheap brakes and rotors and still have no problems. I drive 70 miles a day 5 days a week. My car is a tank!
