mkIIISupraman
i just bought a non-running 1990 camry today for a steal($50).the owner released the car because it stopped running supposedly after approximatly 20-30 minutes of running.i havent looked at it yet but i was wondering if anyone knows the location of both drivetrain modules(engine and trans)? any help would be greatly appreciated including any known similar or identical problems/fixes.thank you in advance. mkIIISupraman
yep.i took a look at it today and the reason im guessing it shut down is because there is a 6-8 inch dent in the oil pan at the front(just below the oil filter housing).from the looks of things thats where the pickup for the oilpump is.im guessing its getting oil starved.hopefully there is minimal engine damage.cant say im mad being its 50 bucks.so far its needing oil pan, gasket, oil pump with pickup, all the belts,t-stat and a rad.still a steal imo.thanks again
