lizettie
I have a 1993 V6 Camry with 86,600 miles on it. We just bought it about a month ago. A few days ago my car overheated and turned off. The mechanic told me that it's missing the A/C Fan on the Passenger's side and that's why it's overheating when I have the A/C on. I called Toyota and they said that our specific car does not have 2 fans so that means that whoever had the car before me must have changed the radiator to one that needs 2 fans but the second fan wasn't installed. So now I have to buy a fan for my car and I have no idea which one to buy. I see A/C Cooling Fans and Radiator Cooling Fans, I don't know if there's even a difference. Some specify V6 and some don't and I don't know which one I should be buying. Can someone help please!! I'm an idiot when it comes to cars!! Thanks. DFBonnett
I also have a '93 V6. You're not missing a fan. There is another cause for the overheating. You need to have it looked at by someone else. Your current mechanic seems unfamiliar with cooling system issues.
