stranger1 Posted May 13, 2008 Share Posted May 13, 2008 Hi everybody. I'm the owner of a 2006 1.6 4-speed Corolla (European). I'm trying to understand something more about my automatic transmission, an A246E gearbox. Does anyone know the gear ratios of this car? Do you know if it's an ECT, super ECT or ECT-i (with intelligence) kind of transmission? It's a 4-speed, but is the overdrive the 4th or does it come after the 4th gear? I mean, when I drive it seems to me that it changes gear 4 times and this would mean it's got 5 gears, wouldn't it? Please help me understand these things.
