ChiefSmo Posted February 23, 2023 Share Posted February 23, 2023 Hi All, I've recently purchased a 2020 Toyota Tacoma Crew Cab Long bed which is in a salvaged condition. I've been able to part out everything following my state's local guide lines, but one piece that I'm struggling to do is find airbags. I live in New York state and the the title itself is from Pennsylvania, although the car originally started it's life in Arizona. I have to fill out an MV-426B and need to list all parts. Air bags are one of those things that I need new ( I believe). Does anyone know where I can source sufficient airbags to pass inspection? Toyota Owners Club Posted March 15, 2023 Share Posted March 15, 2023 There were issues with Toyota sourced airbags (from China) which resulted in a massive recall (in Europe) of many vehicles from different manufacturers all using the same sourced airbags. This may have led to difficulty finding the new supply of airbags that hadn't been earmarked for recall Used Airbags (e.g. not deployed or been damaged in accident - so stolen/recovered, etc) are acceptable for re-use in Europe (certainly in the UK) and there are dealers who legally trade in them Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
