  1. I drive an 07' Toyota Yaris, and I get about 36mpg highway. I check tires regularly, oil changes every 3 months, and I keep it parked in a garage - which helps with fuel efficiency. You might want to have it looked at because one of the biggest benefits of driving a Yaris is the incredible fuel economy.

  2. It could be the fuel pressure regulator. You might want to take your Camry in for a fuel pressure test. It could also potentially be a battery or starter issue. Is it making in weird noises? Does the engine even turn over when you try right away?

  3. What are everyone thoughts on the newest Toyota Prius, coming early in 2012- Prius Plug-In Hybrid. It was recently nominated as GreenCarReports best hybrids for 2012. I've heard that the engine engages automatically as you need more power, so drivers prefer it to the less powerful Leaf or Volt.

  4. If you have any friends/coworkers with experience, I would ask to see if they could assist you with the Highlander. It's possible that there's a bit of drilling involved through the dash, so if you're uncomfortable, just get an estimate for installation.. see if it's worth it. Good luck!

  5. This was a while ago, but if you search Prius diagnostics on a search engine, you'll be able to get more model specific information. I would ask your dealer about ways to save on battery life when not using the car. Luckily Public facilities are going to be installing more charging stations so this won't be as much of a problem. Good luck!

  6. I'm considering buying an '09 used Venza from a friend, but it is without an owner's manual. It's in pretty good condition overall. Is this something I should worry about or is there enough info online for me to learn about the car? Thoughts?? Thanks!

  7. The blue smoke issue has disappeared. The car now has 120,000 miles and I change the oil regularly (every 5K miles). The problem came and went away just as mysteriously. It may be that I was using thinner synthetic oil and have changed to a regular 10W-30 conventional oil.

That is so crazy.. my sister's old Camry did the same blue smoke disappearing act... Since the incident she had just relied on her regular mechanic to take care of all of its maintenance.
