TIGGER
Does anyone know the maximum weight a Toyota Prius can tow?????
culliganman
Toyota says "NO" to towing in the manual. 'nuff said. (on page 234 of the manual). As for me ....lite towing like a cycle, jet ski, or a snowmobile might be O.K. on a small trailer. If I could just find a place to mount a hitch. TIGGER
You can mount a towbar on the chassis, tow hitch brackets. It has been working successfully. Our query is that when the new petrol/electric Toyota RAV4 comes out it will surely have a towbar fitted on, we understand that it is a bigger engine and bigger vehicle, but the Prius does not loose a lot of petrol economy, so we cannot understand why there is not an approved towbar for the Prius.
