Joe Peryea Posted February 10, 2013 Share Posted February 10, 2013 Hi Everyone, My wife and I love our '99 RAV-4, but our mechanic does not want us to bring it to him anymore for a severe oil leak issue. Bob,(mechanic), replaced the valve cover gasket several times to no avail. We then bought a new valve cover which was installed. Oil continues to leak from between the back of the motor and the firewall....somewhere. The PCV system appears to be functioning normally-no excess pressure. I did read on a post that if the intake gasket is bad that oil can be lost through the plenum. Has anybody else had this problem?.
