millbaytoyota Posted November 11, 2011 Share Posted November 11, 2011 Hi, I have a 69 corolla that I cant seem to get running right. The vaccume advance line from the carb to the distributor is disconnected. without it the car runs rough. If I hook it up the car smooths out but back fires like crazy. there's a knob on the back of the distributor that adjusts the advance, but I'm reluctant to play with it untill I have a bit of advice on exactaly how the thing works.
