BeachBumMike Posted March 20, 2005 Share Posted March 20, 2005 I paid a local shop to install a CD changer in the dash of my 98 Avalon; it took him about 15 minutes. The large plastic surround (the right side is just past the radio, the left is past the ignition key) just pops off with a little persuasion. He used his fingers and a flat bar. The radio and CD changer are then easily removed. I forget if they're held in by a couple of screws of just a clip on either side. Be careful not to break anything and it shouldn't be too hard.
