I had a front passenger side axle issue and just brought it in 2 days ago to get fixed. They replaced the axle and the car was working great. (mechanic told me he had a hard time getting the axle out, was vague on what he did to get it done but mentioned he had to heat it up...)

I drove today for about 6 hours yesterday, no issue. Drove another 6 hours today (im driving cross country) I stopped driving for the day and both the brake and battery light started blinking... then stayed on for a minute or 2. Then back to flickering, then went away. I turned the car off for about 5 minutes. When I tried to turn it back on the car tries to turn over but quickly losses power and wont start. The powered seat belts, lights, dash lights all work still, but car wont start.

Not sure if this has any related issue but the other day (after the axle was fixed) the cigarette lighter snapped loose from the dash and now wobbles. And when I plug things into it I can see that it doesn't hold a full surge of power.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im staying in hotels so money and time and no tools, etc... are all a factor.

Thanks
