Lorraine
Someone please help! I have not been able to pair my Treo 750 with the bluetooth feature in my new Corolla. My cell phone finds the bluetooth signal and when I enter the passkey as displayed on the radio screen, the whole process fails.
Leighcm
(Your phone must have the most recent version of software provided by your carrier) (Cingular-1.17 or higher, Verizon 1.04 or higher, Sprint- 1.13 or higher) Vehicle Procedure Go to “Telephone Screen” Press “Settings” Press the “Bluetooth” button Press the “Register” button [*]Phone Procedure Go to Bluetooth on main screen Select “Setup Devices” Select “Handsfree” setup Select “Next” Phone searches and will come up with “Handsfree” Select “Handsfree” Press “OK” Enter passkey (displayed on navigation screen) Connection successful (may take 30 – 90 seconds) NOTE: if phone does not connect within 1 ½ minutes, make a phone call from the phone. You will need to make “Handsfree” a trusted device, proceed with the following: Go to “Setup Devices” Select “Trusted Devices” Select “Handsfree” and press ok, then select done Connection is complete [*]To transfer the phonebook from your phone to the vehicle, you will need to do the following:(All numbers may not transfer) Vehicle Procedure Go to telephone screen Select “Settings” Press the “Phonebook” button Select the “Transfer Data” button Phone procedure (maximum of 10 characters, i.e. no parenthesis in phone number) a. Leighcm
Incidentally, Treos are the worst for that bluetooth connection because of the operating system. Periodically, you may have to erase the connection from both the car and the phone, and start over. And make sure you do your software updates (which may also cause you to re-do the connection). And turn your phone off once in awhile. I'm kind of shocked your salesperson didn't teach you this stuff.

The toyota letstalk website doesn't list it as a compatible device...
Lorraine
Has anyone ever been able to use a Treo 750 with the bluetooth feature? The toyota lets talk website does not list it as a compatible device, yet the Treo does pick up the signal from the car - it just won't complete the pairing. Leighcm
Let's talk isn't always perfectly up to date. Most Treos will work, they're just not the most compatible. Did you try shutting off your phone completely and back on yet?
Lorraine
The set of instructions does not apply to my phone. I do not have a "set-up devices" screen or I at least do not know where to find it. (I am using windows mobile 5.0) I have searched the settings and programs menus and cannot find anything. All i have is the bluetooth screen. Here are the dfifferent menus I have for bluetooth: MODE: I can check off "turn on bluetooth" or "make device discoverable to other devices" DEVICES: "new partnership" (this searches for other bluetooth devices and this is how I can get the phone to pick up the car signal) COM PORTS: "Incoming Port (COM0) (If i choose to edit this I can choose different ports (COM0,COM4, COM7, COM8) and also check a box for secure connection SECURITY: a box to check off for "authentication (passkey) required. Thus, I do not know what combination of items to check off and what else to do to make this pairig work. THe lustre of this feature is starting to wear off...
