dbish Posted September 14, 2008 Share Posted September 14, 2008 I have a 2000 4Runner SUV. It is equipped with alarm system as well as controlling locks. Recently both key fobs have stopped working (will only work sporadically - 10% of the time). New batteries in both. This happens in many locations - I don't think it is interference that some threads discuss. Does anybody know where Toyota places the receiver. Since both transmitters are having the same problem I am suspecting a dirty receiver lens (my hope) or something else wrong with receiver.
