Catalytic Converter

I have a 2013 PriusV. The catalytic converter was stolen off of it on Memorial Day weekend in Chicago. I took it to the repair shop to have anew one installed and they were told it would be 5-6 weeks before the part would be available. I contacted Toyota and was directed to the Brand Engagement Center. I started a case in July and the Brand Engagement Center responded in a timely manner asking for the name of the repair shop, the part number and the date it was ordered. I was also told that I would be contacted by a parts specialist. Over 2 weeks later I was finally contacted. I explained the situation and he said he would call me back in a few days. That never happened so I contacted the Brand Engagement Center again to find out what was going on. It's now been 2 months. Today I received another response, this time from Rob B., stating the the estimated delivery date was now in November. That would be 5 months. What do people do that don't have access to another vehicle. How can Toyota sell any cars if they can't produce parts to fix them.
