Fred Yan
I have a 2004 Highlander V6 4WD. It has logged 280000 miles. Engine runs smoothly and quietly. Spark plugs changed, timing belt changed at 220000. But the transmission is failing, slipping and making clunking noise, can only drive Up to 30miles/hr. Rebuilding the transmission will be upwards of $4000 with 1 yr warranty. Local junkyard has a same model car, with 121000 miles logged. To replace the transmission with this one, the part+labor=$2000 with 90 days warranty. Is it still worth getting it replaced? thanks for any suggestion.
