AJ_CARDIFF
Hi Friends, Last month I bought a brand new Highlander Limited, V6 2022 model. I was enjoying the car, and got almost 500 miles in a month! The fun stopped on the day I saw some oil on my garage floor. I thought the oil was not from the car and cleaned it up, but the next day I found the very same thing. I went to the dealer who sold me the car and told him the same story. He couldn't believe that oil was leaking from the car, but agreed to investigate. After an initial investigation, the dealer told me that it was coming from AC, and Toyota recommend to replace the unit. They did and it didn't fix the problem. Now they say it was coming from engine and recommend to replace the engine. They also opened a case for Toyota. I am still not sure what's going on and its more than 7 days. Is it fair that I ask of them to replace the car entirely now? They have already replaced AC and working on engine replacement. Im not sure how asking for a new car would end up. Can someone suggest to me how to get Car replaced with new one now instead of replacing one or two parts? I believe it is some major fault on Toyota and they are not speaking about it. I want to complain to the Government about how Toyota is not responding to my calls about this issue.
